2010 Summer school for contemporary string quartet

Brian Ferneyhough has been chosen as composer-in-residence at the third summer school for contemporary string quartet music held in Blonay, Switzerland, from 8 - 15 June 2010. The Arditti Quartet will be quartet-in-residence at Blonay and The International Music Institute of Darmstadt features as a partner, enabling the works that have been composed and rehearsed in Blonay to be performed for the first time at the 45th International Summer Course for New Music in Darmstadt 19 July 2010.
